65th Georgia, - Colonel R.H. Moore.
5th Kentucky, - Colonel Hiram Hawkins.
58th North Carolina, - Colonel John B. Palmer.
63rd Virginia, - Major James M. French.

This Brigade the 65th Georgia being detached moved from near Brotherton's to this line at 4 p.m. and formed here on the left of Gracie about 4:40 p.m. It moved up the ravine in front of this point Trigg's Brigade forming on its left about 5 p.m. and advancing up the next ravine west. After more than an hour's fighting Kelly's Brigade gained the crest in its left front and wheeled partially to the right while trigg's Brigade on the left continuing the wheel and crossing the ridge on the ground which had been vacated by Steedman's Division at sunset gained position in rear of the line facing Kelly and assisted in the capture of a large portion of the 21st and 89th Ohio and 22nd Michigan infantry regiments.

34° 55.564′ N, 85° 16.275′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Walker County. Marker is on Vittetoe Road west of Glenn-Kelly Road, on the right when traveling west. This tablet is located in the national park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, along a park walking trail that use to be an old farm road, that runs across the south downslope of Snodgrass Hill.
