1. Old Ironsides Marker
Inscription.  This iron cannon was installed on the USS Constitution “Old Ironsides”, which was launched October 21, 1797. First in action against French privateers in 1798, “Old Ironsides” rendered distinguished service against the British in 1812.
 
Erected 1935 by Army and Navy Club Post No. 294 of the American Legion.
 
Location. 34° 2.919′ N, 118° 15.13′ W. Marker is in Los Angeles, California, in Los Angeles County. Marker is at the intersection of Hill Street and 5th Street, on the right when traveling south on Hill Street. Touch for map. Located in the park at Pershing Square.
