Depuis quelques années la Société d'Histoire de Weedon songeait à
rendre hommage à nos anciens combattants.
Pour souligner le 60e anniversaire du débarquement de Normandie,
l'année 2004 était propice à ces témoignages de reconnaissance.

Base: bloc de granit rose Laurentian, poids 2 175 lbs.
Stèle: bloc de granit gris Stanstead, poids 6 000 lbs.
Sculpture: bloc de granit vert prairie, poids 700 lbs.

To mark the 60th anniversary of the Normandy landings,
the year 2004 was favorable to these testimonies of recognition.
