Inscription.  

La Fuente que adorna esta plaza fue inaugurada en la Plaza Mayor el 2 de Junio de 1852, y por ella brotó por primera vez agua entubada venida de la Presa de la Olla y para el servicio de la población. El 21 de enero de 1886 se quitó de la Plaza Mayor y se pasó a la Plaza de San Diego, de donde el 4 de octubre de 1893 la trasladaron a este lugar.

English translation:
The fountain that adorns this square was originally inaugurated in the Plaza Mayor on June 2, 1852 when piped water from the Presa de la Olla (the Cooking Pot Reservoir) flowed to it for the first time for the service of the population. On January 21, 1886, it was moved from the Plaza Mayor to the Plaza de San Diego. A few years later it was transferred to this place on October 4, 1893.
