Fordís Hospital
Named after William Ford whoís will of 1509 endowed the almshouses. Built around a narrow court yard it is one of the most perfect examples of timber framed architecture in the country. Badly damaged by an air raid of November 1940 but rebuilt with original timbers 1951-53.
 
Location. 52° 24.386′ N, 1° 30.63′ W. Marker is in Coventry, England, in West Midlands. Marker is at the intersection of Greyfriars Lane and Barracks Way, on the left when traveling south on Greyfriars Lane. Touch for map.
