Regarding Rexford Cemetery. E. Rexford settled here in 1769 in an area then known as German Flats. His descendants, most notably C.W. Rexford ran a store on the Erie Canal near the aqueduct in the 1800’s. The bluff this cemetery was located on overlooked the aqueduct and store, and is just down the road from Rexhouse House
