Regarding Location of Scenes from Spectre. The building appears in the first scenes of Spectre (2015). Bond enters the south entrance of the building and goes to what appears to be a hotel room using an elevator (the elevator and other interiors are actually from the nearby Gran Hotel de la Ciudad de México). He then slips out and walks over the roof of the building in order to surveil a meeting in a building to the north (the somewhat run-down Teatro Fru-Fru building). After an explosion (which would seemingly have destroyed a large part of the adjoining Mexican Senate building from which Bond was doing his surveillance and miraculously survives), Bond chases a suspect through the streets of Mexico City, eventually leading to the Zócalo, the enormous city square. A wild scene, which includes a fight in a helicopter over a crowd in the square ensues.
Interestingly, the movie includes a Day of the Dead parade and crowd, which was entirely created for the movie. After the movie was released, Mexico City authorities have continued to hold the parade each year due to demand from tourists and locals.
Note that the marker uses some unusual language, such as “esteralizada” for “starring” and “locación” for “location”, which leads one to believe that it was not written by a Spanish speaker. Also note that the normal spelling for the director is ‘Mendes’.
