1. The Foundation of La Cañada Marker
Fundación La Cañada, El Marqués
Don Fernando de Tapia regreso al mando de quinientos hombres de arco y flecha al pueblo que en el año de 1521 había fundado cuando se le conocía como Conni y con grupos provenientes de Xilotepec poblaron este lugar conocido como La Cañada.
Años después, de aquí partiría para la conquista y fundación de lo que sería Querétaro, Los Apaseos y San Miguel el Grande.
Foundation of La Cañada, El Marqués
Fernando de Tapia returned here with five hundred men armed with arches and arrows at his command to the town that he had founded in 1521 when he was known as Conni. He had populated this place known as La Cañada with groups of settlers from Xilotepec.
Years later, from here he would start for the conquest and foundation of what would be Querétaro, Los Apaseos and San Miguel el Grande.
