1. Elden House Marker

Inscription. The Coleman family, which included the Revolutionary War officer Col. John Coleman, built their home on this site around 1800. It was one of the earliest houses in the area. The Coleman's managed a 300-acre farm, a portion of which later became an orchard known as Eldenwood Fruit Farm. The house was demolished in the 1960s and only the family cemetery remains.
