Inscription.
For more than half a century, the Gramercy Gym stood on this site. Legendary boxing trainer and teacher, Cus D'Amato, trained world champions Floyd Patterson and Jose Torres along with countless other boxers who were champions in their own right. P.C. Richard and Son salutes them all.

2. Gramercy Gym Site
The marker is visible to the left of the P.C. Richard entrance at 120 East 14th Street. The gym, demolished in 1993, actually had a street address of 116 East 14th Street. Shortly after its destruction, this stretch of the street was named "Cus D'Amato Way". That blue street marker is just visible on the lamppost.
