English translation:
A tribute on the 473 years since the founding of Santiago de Guatemala in the Panchoy Valley. The Central Park of Antigua was remodeled with the collaboration of Banco Industrial.

Location. 14° 33.399′ N, 90° 44.029′ W. Marker is in Antigua Guatemala, Sacatepéquez. Marker can be reached from 5a Calle Poniente just east of 5a Avenida Norte, on the left when traveling east. The marker is on the south side of Antigua's central park. 5a Calle Poniente is pedestrian-only along the central park. Touch for map. Regarding The Founding of Santiago de Guatemala. While it is somewhat strange to commemorate the 473rd anniversary of an event, this marker was placed in 2015 and probably was related to the general elections held that year. Santiago de Guatemala, founded in 1542, eventually became today's Antigua Guatemala.
