Location. 39° 48.009′ N, 77° 14.956′ W. Marker is near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in Adams County. It is in Cumberland Township. Memorial is on Birney Avenue, on the left when traveling west. Located near stop 10, the Peach Orchard, on the driving tour of Gettysburg National Military Park. The monument at the apex of a turn north of the road. Touch for map. The beside the monument is the regiment's left flank marker stone, which may indicate a secondary position held later in the battle. Note the slope of the ground here, with the 141st Pennsylvania monument in the background. The elevation of the Peach Orchard is evident from this view.

6. 3rd Michigan Skirmish Line
The regiment extended a skirmish line to the south of the Peach Orchard, covering the ground between the Rose Woods and the orchard.
