1. The Sheridan Homestead Marker
Inscription. The present frame dwelling was built by Gen. Sheridan for his parents in 1859. Under the large oak tree near the house, William Henry Harrison, Corwin, Ewing and Hamer addressed political meetings before the Civil War. In the grove in front of the house, called Sheridan's Grove, the "Three Year Men" of the Civil War held their first meeting.
 
Erected 1938 by Perry County Historical Society.
