4. Battery Field of Fire
Looking south from Wheatfield Road. Philips' battery covered the ground between the Peach Orchard and Rose Woods. Other batteries of the 1st Volunteer Reserve Brigade were placed along the line of the road, and skirmishers from the 3rd Michigan Infantry were deployed in front.
