1. The Shryock Store Marker
Inscription. Built in 1870 as a 30' x 100' store front, this three-story building first housed a meat market, with offices and club social rooms upstairs. In 1901 the John J. Shryock store moved here and remained, the city's major home furniture store, until 1984 when its doors closed after 110 years.
