1. Purple Heart Memorial Marker
Inscription.
Dedicated to all who have been
wounded in all our wars

My stone is red for the blood they shed.
The medal I bear is my Country's way to show they care.
If I could be seen by all mankind maybe peace will come in my lifetime.

Erected by SC Chapter #1781 Military Order of the Purple Heart.

More about this memorial. This is the standard Purple Heart Memorial seen at many veteran's memorials and National Cemeteries around the country. This one is slightly different in that there is usually inscription, "Military Order of the Purple Heart 1782 • 1932," surrounding the Purple Heart. For unknown reasons, it is not included on this marker.
