1. West Village Marker

Inscription. Samuel Woods held Princeton's first school in his home in 1764. Bullock's Stand, Richardson's Tavern, a blacksmith, wheel wright and shoe factory were established by 1830. The Methodist Church was built in 1840 and the village became known as Methody Corners. By 1890 this location was known as Pratt's Corners for their many guest houses.

Erected 2010 by Princeton Historical Commission.
