1. Little Red Brick Marker
Inscription.  Built 1834 Stage coach stop, school, dweling, church. Orig enclosed in a 3-story 12-room edifice which was razed in 1965 revealing 1834 original.
 
Erected by Pike County Historical Society.
 
Location. 39° 42.467′ N, 90° 50.86′ W. Marker is in New Salem, Illinois, in Pike County. Marker is at the intersection of Griggsville Road and Pittsfield Road, on the right when traveling west on Griggsville Road. Touch for map.
