1. Blowing Engine House Marker

Inscription. This brick building once housed bellows to drive air into the blast furnace. The Blowing Engine House , an addition to the 1840's/1850's Machine Shop, is depicted on an 1888 property map. The building's brick buttresses were constructed to keep the structure stable from mechanical vibrations. (Marker Number 6.)
