Inscription. The Four Sixes barn was built by Burk Burnett, an influential and prosperous Texas rancher. It housed expensive horses admired by some of the wealthiest men and women in the West. Appearing much as it did when in use at Burnett’s King County ranch, this recreation incorporates parts of the original structure with modifications for use at the NRHC. These include a stage, kitchen, visitor restrooms and exhibits. The 6666 on the exterior of the barn is the ranch’s cattle brand. The single L on the east gable was the horse brand.

Erected by The Diamond M Foundation and National Ranching Heritage Center.
