A tribute to Mothers, Fathers and Gold Star Families
who sacrificed a Loved One for our Freedom

Throughout history, brave women and men
of our community made the ultimate sacrifice
to protect the freedom of all Americans.
The families of these patriots live with a loss
we can never repay. This memorial stands as
eternal appreciation and honor to the
families of our heroes.

This Gold Star Families Memorial Monument is dedicated to all families who have lost
a loved one serving in the Armed Forces of The United States of America.

The first panel - HOMELAND - depicts the Grant house. The Grants were one of
the first families to settle in southern Franklin County. This home still stands and is
located at Haughn Road and Park Street in Grove City.

The second panel - FAMILY - depicts a multigenerational family overlooking a field
of American flags, each representing a fallen service member.

The third panel - PATRIOT - represents the true patriotism and love of country that

Comprising the peak of the memorial, the cutout represents the lost service member,
who looks back at the family in an eternal salute to their sacrifice.

The fourth panel - SACRIFICE - depicts the flagged-draped coffin
of the service member surrounded by members of each branch of the
Armed Forces of The United States of America. They provide
honored escort for the service member to their final resting place.
This symbolizes the sacrifices made by all branches of the Armed
