Location. 34° 55.393′ N, 85° 16.15′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Walker County. Marker can be reached from Glenn-Kelly Road north of Dyer Road, on the left when traveling north. This marker is located in the National Military Park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, and is located on the high ground in the west side of the Dyer Field and is best reached from the hiking trail that runs south off Snodgrass Hill. According to the location information provided by the National Park Service the, “Monument located within the Chickamauga Battlefield in North Dyer Field, map site #165. ”. Touch for map.
