Location. 34° 55.71′ N, 85° 14.004′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Catoosa County. Marker can be reached from Brotherton Road west of Jays Mill Road, on the right when traveling west. This marker is located in the National Military Park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, and is situated along a secondary park walking trail that runs north from the Brotherton Road. This secondary trail can be reached from both a primary park walking trail or a walking trail (not marked on the Chickamauga Battlefield Map) directly off of the Brotherton Road. According to the location information provided by the National Park Service, “This monument is located on the Chickamauga Battlefield at map site #83". Touch for map. I used the "Chickamauga Battlefield" map, that I purchased at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Visitor Center, to determine both the marker number for this marker and the marker's location in relation to the rest of the park's monuments, markers, and tablets.
