east. This marker is located in the National Military Park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, and is situated along one of the park hiking trails just north of the Winfrey Field. According to the location information provided by the National Park Service, “Monument located within the Chickamauga Battlefield in the woods along the horse trail north of Brotherton Road, map site #78". map it provides the, "numerical listing of all monuments, markers, and tablets on the Chickamauga Battlefield (using the Chick-Chatt NMP Monument Numbering System).”

According to the description information provided by the National Park Service, the monument is a, “5'6" x 5'6" x 11'6", blue Westerly granite monument has polished cylindrical shaft with inscription to which 4 red granite cannon tubes are attached. Conical cap ends in carved pedestal that once supported a now-missing granite sphere."
