More about this marker. According to Henry's Rabbit Ranch website (henrysroute66.com), the sign was installed in June 2003. At the time, the sign (where the description is) was bright red but it has since faded over time. Patti Kuhn (Illinois Route 66 Heritage Project) and Jim Conkle (Hampton Inn spokesperson) were present when it happened.
