Pieza de artillería de defensa costera diseñada y utilizada por las fuerzas armadas británicas a mediados del siglo XIX. Este cañón de avancarga se ganó la reputación como mejor cañón de ánima lisa de esa época. Diseñado para enfrentar al armamento pesado y penetrar la protección o corazas mejorada en los buques modernos, de ahí que su granada fuera hueca.

68-pounder Cannon
Description:
Coastal defense artillery piece designed and used by the British armed forces in the mid-19th century. This muzzle-loading cannon earned the reputation as the best smooth bore cannon of that time. Designed to face heavy armament and penetrate improved protection or armoring on modern ships, hence its projectile was hollow.
