Inscription. Alexander Campbell and Barton Stone, Disciple movement founders, preached to this congregation, founded July 4, 1835 with 35 members, 8 of whom were black. Alexander Procter was minister over 40 years. This neo-Roman church was designed by J.H. Felt in 1907

Erected 1976 by American Revolution Bicentennial Commission of Independence.
