1. 82nd Pennsylvania Infantry Monument
A cross, capping the top of the monument, is the symbol of the Federal VI Corps. Note also the knapsacks on either side of the monument base.

Looking from near the left flank marker (foreground). The 82nd occupied a line in this general location in the later phases of the fighting on July 3rd. More likely, the unit was further to the east, on the opposite side of Slocum Avenue, in the breastworks.
