(English translation:)

As early as 1606, the community records indicate the acquisition of 8 leather buckets for fire protection for the city hall.

The present baroque building was built in 1696-98, and included space for the village smithy and small stables.

In 1713, Rudolf Franz Erwein, the Count von Schönborn, is sworn in as the village feudal lord.

In 1714 the main entrance was redesigned.

In 1822 the village smithy was relocated to the "goose green"; in 1843-44 a sundial is installed on on the south side of the building.

Until 1962, the rooms on the ground floor housed space for Catholic nuns and a teacher's apartment, and on the upper floor there was a Protestant elementary school. With the local governmental reform of May 1, 1978, the independence of the community Zeilitzheim was terminated.

Upstairs are the large and the small council chambers, an exhibition room, and a kitchen with eating space, that has been preserved in original condition and temporarily served as a prison during the First World War. The community of Kolitzheim renovated the building in the 1992-93.
