1. Clarksville Inn Marker
Inscription.
This historic inn built by Thomas Warner in 1840 was a stopping place for stage coaches and travelers to and from the Port of Nyack. It was a center of social life for more than a century and the scene of farewell balls for recruits during the Civil War. Known in the recent decades as the Clarksville Inn, the buildings on these premises were restored in 1957.
 
Erected 1982 by Historical Society of Rockland County, sponsored by American Legion Post #1519.
