captured here from Confederate Sharp-
shooters the large barn of Wm. Bliss
and his dwelling house near and upon
retiring burned both buildings by order
of the Div. Commander.

Looking from the Bliss Farm toward Cemetery Ridge. Clear in this view are the Bryan Farm buildings and the Cyclorama Building. The 14th Connecticut and detachments from other regiments sent forward as skirmishers moved down from the ridge to the Bliss Farm on both July 2 and 3.
