1. Seigletown Marker
Inscription. In 1793, Benjamin Seigle, a captain of the militia during the revolution purchased land here & built a home & a pottery, and produced items of red clay known as Seigleware.

The Seigles built a gristmill, clovermill & blacksmith shop. They owned a hematite mine and were also farmers. The pottery operated for more than 100 years.
