Inscription. From 1964 to 1971, the WEWS studios were home to Upbeat, one of America's premier music television shows.

From the first TV appearance of Simon & Garfunkel , to the last by Otis Redding, virtually every major rock, soul, jazz, country and pop artist performed on Upbeat with producer, Herman Spero and host, Don Webster.
