1. Iran Hostages Marker
Inscription. Fifty-two Americans held hostage in Iran for 444 days were reunited with their families on January 25, 1981.

On route to the local Thayer Hotel they were accorded a grand patriotic outpouring of admiration and respect by the local community resulting in the "Hometown U.S.A." designation.
 
Erected 2006 by the Thayer Hotel and the Local Development Corporation.
