Inscription. Near this spot on September 4, 1755 was born John Marshall, Fourth Chief Justice of the United States.

This path leisurely meanders ½ mile eastwards to a small monument marker indicating the birthplace of John Marshall. As you walk back through history over the land once trod by him, breathe deep the fresh air and reflect upon the progress of our County and Nation that John Marshall so dramatically shaped.
