1. Lamb’s Creek Church Marker

Inscription. This old church was probably built before 1750. The stepping stone at the door bears the date, 1782. Near here Kilpatrick’s Union Cavalry, on a raid to destroy gunboats at Port Conway, fought a skirmish, September 1, 1863.

Erected 1928 by Conservation & Development Commission. (Marker Number J-62.)

This is the lectern in the center of the church. I did not take a picture at this time of the pump organ used for the one service a year and weddings.
