Vojtěch Adalbert Hynais (born in Vienna, December 14, 1854; Died August 22, 1925) was a Czech painter, decorator, and graphic artist.

After the National Theatre burned down in 1881, Hynais painted this, his best known work, in 1883 to outfit the new National Theatre.
