1. Fort Nash Marker

Inscription. Near here, on Garrison Fork, this fort was established, about 1793, for the protection of settlers and travelers to and from the southwest. Until its abandonment, about 1804, it was an important stopping place and administrative center.

Erected by Tennessee Historical Commission. (Marker Number 2E 6.)
