Looking west, with Main Street in background. The cannon is a 42-pdr Seacoast Gun. Originally a smoothbore, it was banded and rifled early in the war to extend its usefulness. Somewhat ironic, the gun was originally cast by Tredegar Foundry in Richmond, Virginia, before the Civil War.
