1. Warner Sisters Marker

Inscription. After the death of their father, Susan (1819-1885) and Ann (1824-1915) Warner lived and worked on Constitution Island on the Hudson, gardening, writing popular books and famous song “Jesus Loves Me.”

They regularly administered to the free religious study of the West Point cadets. During winter they stayed in Highland Falls. Both are buried in the West Point Cemetery.

Erected 2006 by Daughters of the U.S. Army and the Local Development Corporation.

Constitution Island was the home of the Warner family from 1836 until Anna's death in 1915. It is seen here from Trophy Point in the US Military Academy.
