1. Warner Sisters Marker
Inscription. After the death of their father, Susan (1819-1885) and Ann (1824-1915) Warner lived and worked on Constitution Island on the Hudson, gardening, writing popular books and famous song “Jesus Loves Me.”

They regularly administered to the free religious study of the West Point cadets. During winter they stayed in Highland Falls. Both are buried in the West Point Cemetery.
 
Erected 2006 by Daughters of the U.S. Army and the Local Development Corporation.

As stated on the marker, Susan and Anna Warner are buried in nearby West Point Cemetery. This required special permission from the Secretary of War.

Constitution Island was the home of the Warner family from 1836 until Anna's death in 1915. It is seen here from Trophy Point in the US Military Academy.

The house that the Warner sisters lived in still stands on Constitution Island on the east side of the Hudson River.
