1. Paunack Park Marker
Inscription. A.O. "Augie" Paunack (1879-1954) was a Madison native, the son of German immigrants. His business career began as a newspaper carrier and ended as the founder and president of the Commercial State Bank of Madison, a founder of radio station WIBA, and a builder of the old Capitol movie theater. The land was owned by his son, R.R. Paunack, who promoted the development and dedication of the property.
