1. Confederate Arms Factory Marker

Inscription. The Gillam & Miller Gun Factory was located here. Owned by Dr. L. M. Gillam and James Miller, the firm manufactured rifles and gun stocks for the state of North Carolina in 1863. The firm also had a contract to sell rifles to the Confederate government in 1862.

Erected 1990 by Col. John Sloan Camp, 1290, Sons of Confederate Veterans.
