10th Wisconsin, Capt. Jacob W. Roby.

At 2 P.M. with the exception of the 10th Wisconsin detailed to occupy Fort Sheridan this brigade marched from its position near Fort Negley crossed Chattanooga Creek near its mouth on a flat boat and under orders from General Hooker climbed Lookout Mountain to Cravens and after dark relieved the troops on General Geary's line between the foot of the palisades and a point 150 yards below the Cravens House and holding that part of the line until the withdrawal of the Confederates at 2 A.M. of the 25th.

Location. 35° 0.813′ N, 85° 20.52′ W. Marker is near Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, in Hamilton County. Marker can be reached from Shingle Road, 0.1 miles north of Military Road. Marker is located on the grounds of the Cravens' House, a unit of the Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Military Park. Follow the signs from the Lookout Mountain Scenic Highway (TN 148) to reach the area. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: Lookout Mountain TN 37350, United States of America. 2. Carlin's Brigade Marker
and role played during the military action of this particular Brigade, as well as listing the regimental units that make up this Brigade, not all of its listed regiments have individual markers and/or tablets for the park visitor to view. So of the regiments listed for Carlin's Brigade, all of them except for the 10th Wisconsin have either a marker or a tablet for visitors to view. In explaining this, the NPS staff state the following,

"There is no indication that there ever were bronze tablets (for this unit)...the answer to that question is probably another that would have to be addressed to whatever records survive in the ... state archives respectively (since it was the states that were responsible for providing the unit commemorative features)."
