This stone marks the site
of the old district school of
Acquackanonk
dating from 1693 to 1870
also known as
Nassau Hall Academy
(then two stories in height)
where boys prepared for
Princeton College
many of them becoming
well known ministers, lawyers,
judges and educators
Erected by pupils of Passaic’s Public Schools
September 1926
