1. Eugene Covered Bridge Marker
Inscription. County commissioners ordered (1873) to replace unsafe bridge over Big Vermillion River at Eugene. Built 1873 by Joseph J. Daniels, Rockville: Burr truss design, 180 foot span, using existing abutments. Closed to vehicle traffic, 1974. Listed in National Register of Historic Places, 1994.

2. Eugene Covered Bridge and Marker
This bridge is now for foot traffic only - no vehicles allowed. It is behind the Covered Bridge Restaurant. Feel free to park at the restaurant, have a good meal and walk the bridge without moving your car. Picture is taken from the restaurant parking lot.
