The Red Hound Bar
Circa 1917
Originally a U.S. Post Office, this building later housed the Red Hound Bar, which opened in the 1930's. During the Great Louisiana Maneuvers that preceded World War II, this bar was a favorite "watering hole" of many military men, including Generals George S. Patton, Omar Bradley, and Mark Clark.
