Williams (1st) Brig., Hurlbut's (4th) Div., Army of the Tennessee
This regiment was engaged here at 4 p.m. April 6, 1862. It fell back through its camp at 5 p.m. where it was nearly surrounded and had some men captured. It retired along Pittsburg Road to 2d Iowa camp.
