The 6th Tennessee and six companies of the 9th Tennessee were engaged here Monday April 7, 1862.

Marker can be reached from the intersection of Cavalry Road and Hamburg-Savannah Road, on the right when traveling south. 200 yards northwest of intersection on a trail in the woods west of Jones Field, in Shiloh National Military Park.
