1. The Market Battery Marker

Inscription. Stood on this site from 1848 to 1875. With Shoal Tower opposite it defended Kingston Harbour and the Rideau Canal. From 1875 this was a public park. In 1885 the Kingston and Pembroke railway station was built.

Erected 1955 by Kingston Historical Society.
