1. Shikellamy's Old Town Marker
Inscription.
On the plain stretching southeast from this ridge was situated the Indian village of Shikellamy’s Old Town, which was visited by Conrad Weiser in 1737, when on his way to Onondaga. Shikellamy was appointed vice-regent of the Iroquois Confederacy in 1745, and made Shamokin (Sunbury) his headquarters.
 
Erected 1921 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, Union County Historical Society, United Evangelical Church Historical Society.

Location. 41° 0.691′ N, 76° 52.085′ W. Marker is near West Milton, Pennsylvania, in Union County. It is in Kelly Township. Marker can be reached from the intersection of Heritage Road and Shaffer Trail. The marker is located on the grounds of Central Oak Heights, a retreat founded by the Bible Conference Society of Central Pennsylvania of the United Evangelical Church. Central Oak Heights is accessable from US-15 South just south of the on ramp from West Milton. Touch for map.
